WEEKEND BREAK: Somerset, England

I love to share my holidays pictures whether they are going abroad or staying here in England. A few weeks ago I went away for the weekend over the Bank Holiday to Somerset.
Some of the places we visited over the few days we were there:

Wells Cathedral
We also headed over to Weston-super-mare beach as it wasn't too far.

Cheddar Gorge

There was a long road you can drive all the way through to see the gorge. We went part way through then headed back down to where there were more shops and places to eat.

The day got brighter and hotter throughout the day
Street art always captures my eye.
It was a great reflection of the place.

It was very lucky for us as this day was the start of the lovely hot days we've been having in England
There were over 200 steps to walk.
Eventually managed and saw the lovely views beyond the place it gave.
As you can see going up those steps was worth it to see the view!

One of the biggest things I noticed is that coming from the city (London) and then going there to the countryside was a massive difference! I defiantly prefer the city but love exploring wherever the place may be; it is also a nice quiet change to experience.
I hoped you enjoyed reading this post. I would love to hear where you have been on holiday, whether it was a few days away or a few weeks!

TOP 5: PLACES I WANT TO VISIT

As I started to think of where to go for my summer holiday this year (which I've just booked!) I start to think about the places I would love to visit one day. Of course I would like to visit everywhere! I even have a list of places I would like to visit and it keeps growing but I have managed to narrow down to the top 5 places:
Seeing pictures of the places say it all really - the beauty, culture...

5. Thailand

I would love to visit more of the eastern world but as it is so far away it is harder for me to get to. Thailand I have seen some amazing pictures and people who go there never have one bad thing to say about it.

4. Rio de Janerio, Brazil

As well as the other seven wonders of the world I would love to see the statue and experience the big culture difference from the tourist area and where the locals live.

3. New Zealand & Fiji
I would love to go here to do fun adventurous things. I love getting activate and after a day or two I just find it boring sitting on the beach all day so I would love to see and explore on walks and hikes up (small) montains to see the beauty in this place.

2. Bora Bora
This is one place I would love to go and visit to finally relax one day. Just relaxing on the beach with not a care in the world. Sounds appealing?

and finally....

1. NEW YORK!
My cousin has gone here and she said it's similar to London and since I love London so much how can I not love it. I'm in love with a city I've never been to but going to visit one day. The excitement I have just thinking about the city is too much which I contain.

Paris, Italy, Las Vegas & L.A. to name a few are places I would love to visit... again! I'm lucky enough to visit these places but for some places I've visited I was so young and don't remember it.
I'm obsessed with learning about other cultures, exploring new cities and buildings where I live in London and elsewhere in the world.

Have you been to any of these places?
What are your top 5 places you want to visit to?

A QUICK DAY OUT IN LONDON

I love going into Central London, theres no secret about it, I thought I would share what I did when my family came to London for a quick trip! The first place we went to was Harrods in Knightbridge - I love the area and been passed it many times but can you believe I've never actually been into Harrods?!

After spending ages in Harrods (The Disney Store in particular) looking amazed at everything we headed to Covent Garden. It was a lovely sunny day so after walking around browsing the shops we went to Southbank and grabbed something to eat.

Even though I've been to these areas so many times I never get bored of seeing them again and I always take a picture or two.

Walking around London can get really tiring but then you have enough places to eat to refuel yourself up, maybe even over indulge, (but it's only one day its fine right?!) have a look at this interesting infographic 'to work it off' (Wimbledon style). Let me know what you think! https://www.central-london-apartments.com/blog/how-to-work-off-your-wimbledon-favourites-infographic/

BakingMad

Admittedly I've done a lot of baking, some might say a little too much this week. I must of caught the baking bug! I've always like to bake but the thing that puts me of it is I have no one to pass the treats on to so end up eating all, well most of them.
I love experimenting and trying out new recipes especially when I read up on tips and tricks to improve.

Muffin batter

From muffins to cookies and I even had a go at banana bread which was a success. Most of it went straight away as I had guests round - requested I am making it again this weekend. I'm always secretly proud and glad when it all goes well.

And when they turn out better then you thought you just got to take a picture or two right?

These are how the muffin turned out.

First time making muffins and everyone loved them!

When I don't have chocolate chips I use normal chocolate and chop them up to size.

Have you seen my COOKIE MONSTER post?

How the cookies turned out

I've had so much chocolate and treats this week with all the baking - Happy Easter :)

My most recent bake was Salted Caramel Brownies - homemade caramel sauce as well which came out great for my first time!

What's your favourite thing to make? Any recommendations, recipes you would like to see...?
